Our reputable client is currently seeking experienced HD Fitters and Component Fitters to join their established workshop team-based North of the River in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term, consistent work with the chance to work on major underground mining equipment rebuild projects.

With a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety, and specialised rebuilds, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a skilled team working on high-quality underground mining equipment.

About the Role: Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be responsible for complete machine and component rebuilds, including strip-downs, inspections, repairs, and reassembly to OEM standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Completing major component rebuilds and change-out projects
• Carrying out full machine rebuilds from disassembly through to final assembly
• Strip, inspect, clean, assess, and rebuild mechanical components
• Document and map machine components throughout rebuild processes
• Diagnose faults and identify repair requirements
• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
• Complete inspection reports and identify parts requirements
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
• Work collaboratively within a skilled and supportive workshop team

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HD Fitter or Component Fitter
• Previous experience rebuilding underground mining equipment
• Experience working on Sandvik, CAT, Dana, and Kessler equipment/components
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
