Manager – Wendouree Neighbourhood Centre
Lead a community. Inspire change. Make a lasting difference.
Wendouree Neighbourhood Centre is seeking an experienced, motivated and community-focused Manager to lead our Centre into its next exciting chapter.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a respected community organisation that has been supporting the people of Ballarat for many years through learning, connection and community development.
Reporting to the Committee of Management, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the organisation, including staff leadership, community engagement, financial management, governance support, program development and partnership building.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Providing inspirational leadership to staff and volunteers
Building strong partnerships with community, government and funding bodies
Developing and delivering community programs that respond to local needs
Managing budgets, grants and organisational resources
Supporting good governance through reporting to the Committee of Management
Identifying funding opportunities and driving organisational sustainability
Ensuring compliance with funding agreements, legislation and Child Safe Standards
Creating a welcoming, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture
About You
You are an experienced leader with a passion for strengthening communities and improving people's lives.
You will have:
Demonstrated management experience in the community, education, local government or not-for-profit sector
Strong leadership and people management skills
Experience in budgeting, financial management and grant administration
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to work effectively with a Committee or Board
Strong organisational and strategic planning capabilities
Knowledge of the Neighbourhood House sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
