Role SummaryThe Specialist Compliance Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the organisation's compliance, governance and assurance activities to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory, legal, contractual and corporate obligations. Operating within a highly regulated and scrutinised data centre and cloud technology environment, the role ensures compliance to organisation-wide policies, standards, laws, frameworks, and management systems.The role acts as a trusted advisor to the Head of Risk & Compliance and business stakeholders, ensuring governance and compliance obligations are embedded within business operations, technology platforms and company initiatives. The position plays a critical role in supporting enterprise wide governance processes, maintaining stakeholder confidence, and promoting a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance, Risk and ComplianceDevelop, implement and ensure continuous improvement of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) framework.Maintain regulatory obligations, compliance registers and policy frameworks.Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and coordinate implementation of compliance requirements across the business.Provide governance and compliance reporting to Senior Management.Assurance and AuditCoordinate internal and external audits, compliance reviews and assurance programs.Monitor findings and remediation activities to completion.Develop compliance monitoring and testing programs.Support regulatory reviews, customer due diligence assessments and certification activities.Third Party Risk and Operational ResilienceMaintain oversight of third-party risk management processes and supplier compliance requirements.Support business continuity, operational resilience and crisis management programs.Monitor contractual compliance obligations relating to security, privacy and regulatory requirements.ESG and Corporate ResponsibilitySupport environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting obligations.Assist with sustainability reporting, governance disclosures and assurance activities.Monitor emerging ESG regulatory requirements and industry expectationsSkills & ExperienceEssentialSignificant experience in governance, risk, compliance, assurance or internal audit roles.Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.Experience supporting audits, certifications and regulatory compliance programs.Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities.DesirableExperience within a highly regulated organisation.Knowledge of information security, privacy and cyber security frameworks.Experience supporting Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting.Familiarity with ESG reporting, operational governance requirements.Experience with GRC platforms and compliance management systems.QualificationsDegree qualification in Business, Law, Governance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.Relevant professional certifications.
