About the role
A-Grade Industrial Electrician
Build Specialised Fuel & Industrial Equipment
Laverton North, VIC | Full-Time
Workshop-Based | Overtime Available | Long-Term Stability
Are you an A-Grade Electrician looking for something different from traditional electrical work?
At A-FLO Equipment, you'll work on specialised industrial equipment from the ground up.
You'll be involved in the complete build of large-scale fuel storage tanks, refuelling systems and industrial equipment - from mechanical assembly through to electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
This isn't a role where you simply arrive, complete the electrical work and move on.
You'll work alongside experienced mechanical and electrical tradespeople, develop new skills and see projects come together from an empty tank or skid through to a fully operational system ready for delivery.
If you enjoy building things, solving problems, working with machinery and seeing a project through from start to finish, this could be the opportunity you're looking for.
Work on Projects You Won't Find Everywhere
At A-FLO, you'll work on specialised equipment that most electricians don't get exposure to.
From large-scale fuel storage tanks and refuelling systems through to complex pump, control and dispensing equipment, every project presents something different.
You'll have the opportunity to see an entire project come together - from an empty tank or skid through to a fully operational system ready for delivery.
Become a Multi-Skilled Industrial Tradesperson
This role gives you the opportunity to develop skills well beyond traditional electrical work.
You'll gain practical experience working with:
Pumps and fluid transfer systems
Pipework and valves
Fuel and AdBlue equipment
Mechanical assembly and equipment installation
Industrial control systems
Electrical and mechanical fit-out
Testing and commissioning
Fault finding across complete systems
You'll become someone who understands the entire machine - not just the electrical component.
You don't need to be a qualified mechanical fitter. We'll support you in developing the mechanical skills required to work confidently across our equipment and builds.
What's In It For You?
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Overtime opportunities available
Permanent full-time position
Workshop-based role in Laverton North
Interesting and varied industrial projects
Opportunity to develop electrical, mechanical and industrial skills
Exposure to specialised fuel, fluid handling and refuelling equipment
Work on projects from initial build through to testing and commissioning
Training and support from experienced tradespeople
Modern tools and equipment
Long-term career and development opportunities
Stable and growing Australian business
Supportive, practical and no-ego team environment
Free monthly team lunches

Full working rights in Australia
Current driver's licence

You'll be part of a team building large-scale fuel storage systems, refuelling equipment and specialised industrial projects for customers across Australia.
Our projects combine electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and fluid handling systems, giving you exposure to equipment and applications that you won't typically encounter in a traditional electrical role.
You'll work in a practical workshop environment alongside experienced tradespeople, with the opportunity to learn, develop and take ownership of increasingly complex work.
