Gas Repairs Manager

About the Role

Run the operation, not the tools. You’ll own our gas repairs division day to day - pricing and margin, scheduling, crews and subcontractors - plus our fast-growing heating and hot water upgrade work under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program. You don’t need a plumbing licence: technical sign-off and compliance certificate lodgement sit with our senior licensed plumber, who works alongside you.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the commercial side of quoting - pricing, margins and turnaround times. Tricky technical calls go to our licensed technical lead

• Lead the crews - employed plumbers, apprentices and subbies. Rostering and day-to-day performance sit with you

• Scheduling and routing are yours - keep crews utilised and the week running tight

• Run the VEU side - upgrade quotes with rebates, install scheduling, and audit-ready evidence packs (photos, consents, the lot)

• Fleet, tools, insurance and licensing records - yours too

• Handle escalations with property managers and agencies, and keep safety and customer standards sharp

About You

• You’ve run service operations with field teams - trades, HVAC, facilities or energy upgrades

• A plumbing or gas trade background is highly regarded, but if you can run an operation, that’s what gets you the job - no licence needed

• Sharp on margin and utilisation - you manage by the numbers

• You’ve worked with VEU or a similar rebate scheme, or you’ll pick it up fast

• You keep good systems and you’re not shy about holding people accountable

You might currently be a Plumbing or HVAC Supervisor ready to come off the tools, a Service or Operations Manager, or an Installations Manager from the energy-upgrades world.
