Our Bajool Operations in Central Queensland are currently seeking a motivated, committed, and reliable person who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training and a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE 30820).
Bajool and Port Alma are about 40km south of Rockhampton and 40km north of Gladstone.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a rewarding career in the electrical trade while gaining hands-on experience and completing a nationally recognised apprenticeship.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator you will be trained to perform key responsibilities including:
•Apply principles, systems & processes of OHS & Food Quality Standards
•Operate within a team environment 
•Interact with IT systems & technology
•Assist qualified electricians with electrical installations and maintenance
•Proactive, preventative, and reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices.
•Use & interpret detailed drawings or specifications to identify job, material and equipment requirements
•Conduct testing and fault-finding activities under supervision
•Maintain a clean workplace in compliance with quality and safety processes. Working through mandatory and elective units to achieve Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE 30820). 


About You
You will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role:
•Minimum Completion of Year 12, with an aptitude for electrical work or relevant pre-vocation course.
•Aptitude for technical/electrical work 
•A team player, trustworthy and has good work ethic
•A quick learner, willing to listen and learn from experience of others
•Strong ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety
•Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
•Basic skill in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools
•Basic computer skills including data entry and knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
•Commitment to study and completion of Certificate III qualification
•Ability and willingness to travel to study
•Current Drivers Licences
