We are a well-established Queensland law firm practicing in criminal law, child protection, and Mental Health Review Tribunal matters. As a preferred supplier to Legal Aid Queensland, the majority of our files are funded through Legal Aid grants and referrals, providing a diverse caseload and regular advocacy opportunities across Queensland.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking applications for the following positions:

Criminal Defence Lawyer (2-4 Years PAE)

Full-Time

About the Role

• Conduct criminal law matters and appear in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts.

• Conduct child protection proceedings and Mental Health Review Tribunal matters.

• Manage your own files and client relationships.

• Prepare court documents, submissions and briefs.

• Travel to courts and tribunals throughout Queensland as required.

About You

• Admitted solicitor with 2-4 years PAE.

• Experience in criminal law, litigation, child protection or advocacy-based practice.

• Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills.

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.

• $102,000 - $112,000 per annum (equivalent to PO3).

Paralegal / Law Clerk

Part-Time | 3 Days Per Week

About the Role

• Assist with criminal, child protection and mental health matters.

• Prepare correspondence, court documents, briefs and applications.

• Liaise with clients, courts, Legal Aid Queensland and counsel.

• Manage files, diaries and administrative processes.

About You

• Previous experience as a paralegal, law clerk, legal secretary or legal assistant.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Professional, client-focused approach.

• Experience in criminal law or litigation is desirable.
