About the position

Our Payroll Services team is looking for an experienced and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Prepare and process fortnightly payrolls, including bank transfers, EFT transmissions and tax payments;
• Reconcile payroll-related payments, PAYG, deductions and superannuation;
• Maintain accurate employee records, including leave, superannuation and payroll information; and
• Supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of payroll services across Council.

About you

• Highly accurate numeracy, data entry and attention to detail skills;
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines;
• Previous experience working in a payroll environment; and
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems, with the confidence to learn and adapt to new technology.

This position is a Band 4A currently remunerated at $74,536.73 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
