Senior Customer Analyst

At Endeavour, the role of the Data and AI (D&AI) team is to ensure we're supporting our growth by providing meaningful insights to support decisions and outcomes for customers and stakeholders across our retail and online environments.

The Senior Customer Analyst is responsible for leading end-to-end customer analytics projects. From audience design and campaign measurement through to loyalty modelling and personalisation analytics, coordinating delivery with stakeholders with a key focus on actionable insights and measurable business outcomes.

We're looking for someone with deep customer analytics instincts: someone who can design a rigorous test-and-learn framework, interpret incremental lift, translate customer data into loyalty and personalisation strategy, and build scalable, production-grade analytical workflows that keep pace with a fast-moving marketing environment.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete customer analytics lifecycle—from breaking down complex, ambiguous business problems to target/control setup, execution, measurement, and final stakeholder delivery across concurrent workstreams.
• Drive Strategic Narrative ("So What"): Translate complex campaign outcomes, loyalty metrics, and customer behavior patterns into clear narratives, recommended actions, and quantifiable business opportunities.
• Test-and-Learn Experimentation: Design and own statistically sound test-and-learn frameworks, target/control group methodologies, incrementality models, and uplift measurement for marketing campaigns and loyalty streams.
• Data Engineering & Workflow Automation: Build and maintain production-grade data models on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery, DBT, and Python/R, replacing manual workflows with scalable, automated datasets.
• Stakeholder Advisory & Strategic Alignment: Establish trusted advisor relationships with Marketing, Commercial, and Loyalty stakeholders; partner with Product Managers and Data Leads to shape squad roadmaps and influence business decisions.
• Governance & Standards Leadership: Champion solid data governance practices by creating data lineage assets, SOPs, and accessible documentation; actively contribute to and evolve D&AI chapter standards and peer review loops.
• Coaching & Mentorship: Actively coach and mentor mid-level, junior, and graduate analysts within the squad, conducting code/peer reviews to elevate team capability.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Education: Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on analytics experience, with significant exposure to customer, marketing, or loyalty analytics environments.
• Advanced SQL & Modeling: Exceptional SQL skills for writing and optimizing complex queries; demonstrated experience building data transformation models using DBT and Google BigQuery.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python or R for exploratory data modeling, statistical testing, and uplift analytics.
• Experimentation & Incrementality: Proven experience designing target/control methodologies, incrementality analysis, and measurement frameworks for loyalty and CRM campaigns.
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Advanced proficiency in Tableau to build executive-ready dashboards and translate data into compelling strategy narratives.

• Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated commitment to team growth—actively mentoring peers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a constructive feedback culture.

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of marketing activation platforms and pipelines (e.g., Responsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
