About the role
The Role
Permanency Support Workers are vital members of the Permanency Support Program, reporting to the Team Leader and working collaboratively with Case Managers and Clinical staff to achieve safe, stable and sustainable permanent placements for children and young people.
In this role, you will work directly with children, young people, siblings, foster carers, birth families and significant others to strengthen placement stability and support positive outcomes.
This is a part-time position (minimum 40 hours per fortnight) that can be based in either Canberra or Goulburn. The successful applicant will work across both locations, with regular travel between sites as a core requirement of the role. A vehicle will be provided for all work-related travel.
In this role, you will:
Shifts will occur both within and outside core business hours, including critical transition times in the afternoon and evening. Availability on Saturdays is essential.

You are a compassionate and resilient professional who is committed to supporting children, young people and families within a child protection framework. You understand the importance of safe, stable placements and bring both practical skills and a collaborative approach to your work.
