About the role
4Volt Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for an on-site role in Sydney. This is a day shift position supporting operations within an industrial plant environment.
This engagement will start on the 31st of August and its expected to run for 6 months (with the potential of turning into long term/full-time position for the right candidate). Our client is an established Electrical Engineering company.
Key Details
Location: Artarmon, Sydney
Schedule: 6:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) + occasional OT in the week and weekends.
Duration: expected 6 months, (with the potential of turning into long term/full-time position for the right candidate)
Pay:
- Ordinary hours $58.00 to $65.00 AUD per hour (Depending on experience & if TFN, ABN or PTY)
- OT rates to be discussed
- daily travel allowance: $19.50 AUD
You will be responsible for performing routine and reactive maintenance on plant electrical systems. This role requires a high level of independence and experience.
Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on plant electrical systems
Work with MCCs, control panels, and field equipment
Fault-find and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems
Inspect, test, and maintain motor control equipment including contactors, overloads, VSDs, and soft starters
Replace or upgrade obsolete equipment and assist with installation of new systems
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
Report to a supervisor
Work alongside with on-site fitters and plant operators
Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
Demonstrated strong experience in industrial maintenance
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with PLC systems and motor controls
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong commitment to safety
You are a reliable and self-motivated electrician with solid industrial experience. You are confident working independently and can effectively coordinate with on-site personnel and supervision.
