About Us

Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
An opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the Casual Pool within the Perioperative Suite at Hawkesbury District Hospital. This role offers flexible casual employment across Monday to Friday services, with on-call opportunities available. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care and achieving optimal outcomes for patients and their carers. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will utilise effective communication and evidence-based practice to plan, implement, assess and evaluate patient care, while ensuring the timely escalation of care when required.
You will advocate for the individual needs of all patients, families and carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will provide specialised perioperative nursing care with compassion, professionalism and cultural sensitivity, ensuring patients feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.
In this role, you will maintain and promote professional nursing standards through ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
