Management Accountant

We are an Adelaide-based engineering, procurement and construction management firm working across some of the most significant electricity network and renewable projects in the state.

We have an excellent opportunity for a professional and energetic accountant to join our finance team in a supportive environment where you are encouraged to grow your career as the business scales.

Key duties

• Processing creditor payments and expenses
• Processing debtor invoicing and receipting
• Monthly intercompany charges and recoveries
• Expense monitoring and analysis
• Analysing and responding to queries (internal and external)
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• End-of-month processing
• Monthly reconciliations

Project accounting duties including:

• Preparing progress reports
• Preparing progress claims
• Analysing variations to original budget
• Tracking cost spend to date and cost to complete
• Drawing down funds from finance facilities to pay for projects
• Liaising with project managers (internal and external) and providing support

What we are looking for

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
• A minimum of two years’ experience with the Xero accounting package
• Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Highly organised
• A problem solver
• A proven ability to adapt and learn quickly
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in construction, engineering or project-based environments will be highly regarded
