About the role
The Mater Mothers’ Hospital Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) team currently has a role available for a Registered Midwife in a Caseload Model of Care within the BIOC (Birthing in our Community) program. This position will be offered on a permanent basis at 32-28 hours per week.
The BIOC (Birthing in our Community) MGP program provides maternity care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families and enables women to be cared for and supported by a known midwife with the support of Indigenous Health Workers and the multidisciplinary team. BIOC MGP works in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service (AICHS), and the Institute for Urban and Indigenous Health (IUIH) to provide antenatal and postnatal care both in the community and hospital setting, and birthing in the hospital.
This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated midwife to provide exceptional Midwifery care in coordinating, assessing, planning and providing care. It is a fantastic chance to become part of a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary team, utilising your enthusiasm and midwifery passion for the delivery of best practice within a supportive and professional environment. This opportunity will utilise your expertise in caring for women and families and your ability to work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team. You will enjoy demonstrating your excellent communication skills and building relationships to ensure exceptional patient care.
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
