About the Role 

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our machine shop team and help keep our daily operations running smoothly and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining an organised, safe and productive workshop environment. You’ll be responsible for receiving, moving, storing and issuing materials, while ensuring inventory movements are accurately recorded in our ERP system.

Our operating hours are 5:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday, providing an excellent work/life balance and plenty of time for family, hobbies and life outside of work.

About You

You’re someone who:

• Takes genuine pride in your work and keeps your work area organised, clean and safe.

• Has a strong eye for detail and understands the importance of accurate inventory management.

• Is comfortable learning and using an online ERP system to record and validate inventory movements.

• Is confident operating a forklift and experienced in safely moving long, awkward or unstable materials.

• Can work safely and confidently across uneven outdoor surfaces and changing work environments.

• Is proactive and enjoys finding better, safer and more efficient ways of doing things.

• Is willing to learn new skills and take on different tasks as required.

• Works well as part of a small team and is prepared to pitch in wherever needed.

• Understands that in a small business, every person can make a meaningful difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store incoming materials and components.

• Pick and issue materials to the machine shop as required.

• Safely load, unload and move materials using a forklift and other appropriate equipment.

• Handle long, awkward and unstable materials safely and efficiently using a forklift.

• Maintain accurate stock levels and validate and record inventory movements within the ERP system.

• Keep warehouse and workshop areas clean, organised and safe.

• Assist with stocktakes and inventory reconciliation.

• Identify opportunities to improve material flow, storage and warehouse processes.

• Follow all relevant workplace health and safety procedures.

• Support the broader machine shop team with day-to-day operational requirements.
