About the role

Ace Fencing & Outdoor Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Fencers and Fencing Subcontractors to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, VIC 3000. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of various fencing systems for our commercial & residential clients. You will work on diverse projects, bringing quality craftsmanship and attention to detail to every job. Your expertise in building trades will be essential in delivering high-standard fencing solutions that exceed client expectations and contribute to the continued success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Install and construct fencing systems including timber, Steel, Colorbond and composite materials according to specifications and client requirements

• Prepare project sites, including measuring, marking and leveling ground to ensure accurate installation

• Excavate post holes and install fence posts using appropriate techniques and equipment

• Cut, shape and fit fencing materials with precision to achieve professional finishes

• Repair and maintain existing fencing structures, identifying issues and implementing effective solutions

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks

• Follow health and safety regulations and site requirements on all projects

• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, colleagues and clients regarding project progress and any concerns

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, removing debris and ensuring proper waste disposal

• Work independently or as part of a team, depending on project requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a fencer or fencing subcontractor within the building trades industry

• Strong knowledge of various fencing materials, installation techniques and industry best practices

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and fencing equipment

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately

• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements relevant to fencing work

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in finishing work

• Reliability and punctuality with a professional approach to work

• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various job sites

• Current working rights in Australia

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in fencing installation (preferred)

• Experience with commercial or large-scale projects (preferred)
