Senior Function Manager – Events & Staffing

Heyder & Shears is one of Perth's leading catering and events companies, delivering premium weddings, corporate functions and large-scale events across Western Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Function Manager – Events & Staffing to join our leadership team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading events, mentoring people and working closely with the Staffing Manager to support recruitment, onboarding and the development of our Front of House team.

About the Role

As a Senior Function Manager, you will:

• Lead the successful delivery of events from setup through to pack down.

• Manage and support Front of House teams during service.

• Coach and mentor Junior Function Managers and casual staff.

• Work closely with the Staffing Manager on workforce planning, onboarding and staffing requirements.

• Build strong client relationships and ensure exceptional service standards.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, RSA, food safety and WHS requirements.

• Complete post-event reporting and contribute to continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience managing hospitality or catering events.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

• Current RSA and Approved Manager's Certificate.

• Food Safety Certificate.

• First Aid and Manual Driver's Licence (preferred).
