Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary

In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

Major Responsibilities

Prepares schedule data for proposals or contract negotiationsEstablishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialtyPerforms schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditurePerforms schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialtiesDevelops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the scheduleMonitors and validates subcontractor schedulesEvaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

Education And Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, and cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis, in the field and the home officeKnowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and nontechnical personnelThis includes planning and scheduling products independently with minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design and construction practices.Skilled in oral and written communicationDemonstrates an advanced level of understanding of general Project Controls technical skills. Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processesMust be willing to move to PerthMajor construction project experience required
