About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Cord Blood & Tissue Collector to join our Sydney team in a day time retainer position. You will be required to be available 5 x 12hr (7am-7pm) periods over 7 days.
This is a flexible, retainer-based role, which means you'll enjoy the security of a guaranteed base monthly salary, regardless of the number of collections you complete. Alongside this stability, you'll be part of our exclusive national Collector Network—a community of professionals dedicated to advancing stem cell preservation across Australia.
In this rewarding position, you will collect umbilical cord blood and tissue samples at the time of birth, contributing directly to lifesaving stem cell preservation and groundbreaking research.
Key Responsibilities
Perform cord blood and tissue collections at the time of birth
Engage professionally with parents, midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare staff
Hold valid police check and Working with Children Check clearances
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest clinical and ethical standards
Travel between hospitals across Sydney as required
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have:
Australian work rights are essential for this position.
Minimum 12 months of venepuncture experience with strong technical competency
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in the healthcare enviroment
Availability across 7 days including weekends
Knowledge of the birthing arena is advantageous but not essential
A current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
