Administration & Accounts Officer

About the Role:

Industrial Insulation Supplies Pty Ltd is an industrial & commercial wholesale company with over 14 year’s experience in the Insulation Industry. We are seeking an experienced Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Coopers Plains, Qld, this role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse and administrative functions. You will provide essential support to our business operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping & efficient administrative processes. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, operational environment whilst contributing directly to the success of our growing organisation.

This is a Fixed Term Contract 12 months with the possibility of extension. 38 hours Monday to Thursday 7am – 3pm, Fridays 6am – 2pm.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for clients, visitors and customers

• Managing day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and document organisation

• Processing invoices, receipts and financial documentation with accuracy and attention to detail

• Reconciling accounts and assisting with statement reconciliations

• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions, including chasing outstanding payments where necessary

• Assist Management with purchasing. This will include international suppliers and local suppliers

• Manage freight bookings including local, interstate and international

• Assist Warehousing team when required

• Staff travel bookings as required ie: flights, accommodation

• General administration duties

 What we’re looking for:

• 2 years’ experience in an administrative support role, ideally within a supply, manufacturing or similar operational business environment

• 1 year experience in Xero Accounting Software

• Strong numeracy skills and accuracy in financial data handling and record-keeping

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contacts

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to priorities and multitask without compromising quality or attention to detail

• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to assist across all areas of the business

• Reliability and the ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a team environment

• Ability to lift up to 20kg

• Ideal but not a fixed requirement; experience in Unleashed Inventory Software

• Ideal but not a fixed requirement; forklift licence
