About the role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Monthly Fire Tester to join our fire service team. The role involves carrying out routine monthly testing, inspection and reporting of fire protection systems and equipment across commercial and industrial sites.
The successful applicant will be responsible for completing scheduled service runs, testing fire panels and associated systems, identifying and reporting defects, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating professionally with clients and internal staff. The role requires strong attention to detail, a safety-first attitude, and the ability to work independently while following Australian Standards and company procedures.
Carry out monthly routine testing of fire protection systems and equipment.
Test and inspect fire indicator panels, alarm systems, monitored systems and related equipment.
Complete site logbooks, service dockets and digital reports accurately.
Identify, record and escalate defects, non-compliances and urgent issues.
Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and internal service coordinators.
Follow safe work procedures, site requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
Support broader testing and service work where required, depending on skills and experience
Experience in the fire industry is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Reliable, organised and able to manage a scheduled service run.
Good communication skills and professional presentation.
Current driver’s licence.
Ability to complete paperwork and digital reporting accurately.
Fire panel, extinguisher, hose reel, emergency lighting, sprinkler or pump testing experience would be highly regarded.
