Local Gladstone Position
Full-Time Employment

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and safety-focused Truck & Dog Driver to join our team.

As a Truck & Dog Driver, you will play an important role in the safe and efficient transportation of materials to various customer, construction and work sites. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining your allocated vehicle while ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Truck & Dog combination to transport and deliver materials to various locations.

• Follow allocated delivery schedules and work instructions to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.

• Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance, mechanical or safety concerns.

• Safely load, transport and unload materials in accordance with company procedures and site requirements.

• Comply with all road transport legislation, traffic regulations, fatigue management requirements and company policies.

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures both on the road and at customer, construction and work sites.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, dockets, logbooks and required paperwork.

• Keep the truck and trailer clean, tidy and well maintained.

• Provide professional and friendly customer service while building positive working relationships with customers and site personnel.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current and valid HC Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.

• A minimum of 12 months’ on-road HC driving experience.

• Previous Truck & Dog or tipper experience is highly regarded.

• A strong understanding of road safety regulations, traffic laws and fatigue management requirements.

• The ability to safely operate and manoeuvre a Truck & Dog combination.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

• A reliable and professional work ethic.

• A strong commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.

• Flexibility to work variable hours when required.

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to complete:

• Police and licence checks

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

• Pre-employment medical assessment
