About the role
At Aptella, we deliver intelligent positioning, automation and technology solutions that help customers work smarter, safer and more efficiently across construction, civil, geospatial and heavy industry.
We’re looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician – Weighing to join our team based in Silverwater, NSW, supporting customers with the installation, servicing and calibration of weighing technology across a range of heavy equipment.
This is a varied, field-based technical role where you’ll install, diagnose, repair and calibrate weighing systems while providing practical support to customers onsite.
You’ll work across equipment including loaders, excavators, forklifts, telehandlers and material handlers, with plenty of autonomy and variety in your day.
Install, diagnose, repair and calibrate weighing systems
Troubleshoot technical issues across a range of heavy equipment
Provide high-quality customer support, training and technical advice
Complete service reports and documentation through D365
Maintain equipment standards and support NMI compliance requirements
Manage vehicle stock, tools and field equipment
Work safely across customer sites and identify WHS risks
Travel to customer sites across NSW as required
You’re a practical, customer-focused technician who enjoys troubleshooting, getting hands-on and solving problems in the field.
You bring:
Mechanical, hydraulic, auto-electrical or similar technical experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience in a field service or customer-facing technical role
Good communication and customer service skills
A strong safety mindset
Construction White Card
Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
Willingness to travel and undertake site-based work when required
Experience with weighing systems, heavy equipment, construction machinery or industrial technology will be highly regarded.
NMI 6.8 certification is preferred but is not essential.
