This is a key role for someone who can lead from the front—driving team performance while actively operating high-speed production equipment. You’ll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes while supporting and developing your team on the floor.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Team Leader / Machine Operator, you’ll combine operational expertise with people leadership:
Operating and monitoring production machinery at full capacity
Performing machine start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
Adjusting settings, changing tools, and optimising line performance
Troubleshooting faults and escalating where required
Completing quality checks (metal detection, weights, seals, gas checks)
Maintaining GMP standards and ensuring food safety compliance
Overseeing daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets
Coordinating and supporting team members on the line to ensure smooth operations
Leading by example in safety, GMP, and operational standards
Monitoring performance, addressing issues, and providing real-time feedback
Ensuring all SOPs, CCP checks, and documentation are completed accurately
Communicating effectively with Production, QA, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams
Identifying and resolving production issues, including downtime and resource gaps

What You Bring
Experience as a Machine Operator in FMCG or food manufacturing
Demonstrated experience leading from the floor / line - or ready to take that next step into your career
Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, CCPs)
Ability to manage priorities, delegate, and make sound decisions under pressure
Strong communication skills and ability to engage and motivate a team
Good attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
