PositionSupport Worker (Casual / Part-Time)
LocationVarious locations across Perth, WA (community, SIL homes, drop-in supports, and in-home care).
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct personal care, including assistance with daily living activities such as showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
Support participants in achieving their individual goals and enhancing independence.
Administer or assist with medication management in line with training and policies.
Facilitate and encourage community participation, social inclusion, and recreational activities.
Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and risk assessments.
Uphold strict professional boundaries, confidentiality, and Affinity Care WA’s values at all times.
Work collaboratively with participants, their families, support coordinators, and the broader Affinity Care WA team.
Essential previous experience in disability, aged care, or community services.
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or working towards).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check / National Police Clearance.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
COVID-19 vaccination in line with WA Health requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to participant needs and changing environments.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
