About the role
Our client is one of world’s largest Orthopaedic organisation’s and supplies a diverse range of high-quality products occupying the entire hospital C-Suite. With continued year-on-year growth and an ever-expanding, highly-innovative and best-in-class product portfolio, our client is looking to expand their hire Assistant Territory Managers in the Orthopaedic Hip and Knee sales team in the South Australia region.
In this role, you will:
· Execute achievement of sales targets within a defined area including development of new and existing customers, sales growth, competitor knowledge, inventory and service levels
· Attend theatre to assist surgeons and theatre staff to maximise use and application of Stryker products and provide technical expertise to registrars, nurses and other hospital personnel as required
· Develop strong working relationships with key hospital contacts; Nursing Unit Managers, Surgeons etc to maximise business opportunities, understand particular preferences and needs, and gain knowledge on competitor products
· Use relevant clinical data and statistics to provide added value to surgeons and other customers
· Support product launches and recall across territories
Your Skills
· Sales methodologies and their application to a medical device environment
· Product knowledge, knowledge of the medical and hospital industries to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
· Industry knowledge including competitors, clients and potential clients, trends and pricing issues
· Demonstrated experience in sales, sales negotiation and business development practices including territory planning, customer management and lead generation and conversion
· Negotiation, presentation and communication skills to effectively build relationships with surgeons, other key customers, stakeholders and senior members of the community and government
· Ability to work effectively as part of a sales team
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, medical or para-medical disciplines
