Boab Metals is an ASX-listed resources company advancing the development of the Sorby Hills Lead-Silver-Zinc Project, located in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. As we transition from project development into construction readiness and operational planning, we are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our growing Perth team, located in Osborne Park.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the workforce, culture and people systems of a growing mining company. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will have broad exposure across all aspects of human resources and the opportunity to grow your career alongside the development of a significant Australian mining project.

About the role

The HR Advisor will provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across the business. Working closely with managers and leaders, you will help drive workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, policy development and organisational effectiveness initiatives. This position is ideally suited to an HR professional who enjoys variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and support on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters.

• Lead recruitment activities across corporate and project-based roles.

• Assist with workforce planning and mobilisation activities as the Project progresses.

• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and systems.

• Support leadership development and employee engagement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

• Coordinate onboarding and induction programs.

• Contribute to remuneration and performance review processes.

• Support diversity, inclusion and Indigenous employment initiatives.

• Assist in building a positive, high-performance organisational culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3-5 years' HR experience in mining, resources, construction or a similar industry.

• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.

• Experience providing advice across the employee lifecycle.

• Strong recruitment and stakeholder management capability.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.

Desirable

• Experience supporting FIFO or remote workforces.

• Experience in a project, construction or mining environment.
