About the role
Choorechillum is seeking a committed and community-minded Indigenous Language Program Co-ordinator to support our growing Language Program in Malanda. The Co-ordinator will work alongside Elders, linguists, language workers and community members to strengthen and revitalise Ngadjon-Jii language. The role includes co-ordinating program activities, supporting staff, managing projects and budgets, developing language resources, assisting with grants and reporting, and building strong community and organisational partnerships.
We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications or experience in areas such as linguistics, Indigenous studies, anthropology, community development or business management, along with strong communication, organisational and project management skills.
Applicants must hold a current driver’s licence and be able to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Clearance.
The position is a 12-month contract with flexible part-time hours, a salary of $35,500 per year, and the possibility of extension.
