About the role

We are seeking an experienced Builder to join our team at our Ipswich, Queensland location on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on position where you will play a crucial role in the installation, construction, and maintenance of garage door systems for our diverse client base. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the quality of our deliverables and the satisfaction of our customers. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied projects whilst being part of a skilled and collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Install garage door systems in residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work meets safety standards and building codes

• Perform repairs and maintenance on existing garage door installations and associated components

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete construction and installation tasks

• Follow detailed plans, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate workmanship

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues that may arise

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

• Travel to various job sites within the Brisbane, Ipswich area and surrounding regions as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a professional builder or quality tradesperson in the building trades industry

• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices relevant to garage door installation

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment safely and competently

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately

• Sound understanding of structural principles and construction techniques

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to varying project requirements

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with a focus on customer service

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites

• Current or ability to obtain relevant building trade qualifications and certifications as required

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and working at heights when necessary
