As a Lifestyle Assistant at Blakeney Lodge in Tumut, you’ll play an important role in creating meaningful moments for our residents. From social activities and community outings to everyday conversations and celebrations, you’ll help bring joy, connection and purpose to their day.

About The Role

Encourage resident choice, independence and participation in meaningful individual and group activitiesAssist with the design, delivery and monitoring of engaging lifestyle programs and activitiesCreate and deliver innovative events and experiences that bring residents together and, where possible, connect them with the wider community, volunteers, family and friendsProvide direct resident support during activities and outings, including bus trips, personal hygiene and toiletingBuild positive relationships with residents and contribute to an environment where everyone feels valued and includedSupport your colleagues and contribute to a positive, respectful and cooperative team cultureWork safely and responsibly, following all policies and procedures to protect yourself, your colleagues and our residents

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health, Individual Support or a similar qualificationSimilar experience in a previous roleStrong communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to get involvedThe ability to build and maintain professional, respectful relationships with residents and their familiesA reliable, caring and enthusiastic approach to teamworkA commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of every residentWillingness to obtain a Police Check and NDIS clearance
