Head of Procurement – ANZ | Sydney | A$150,000-180,000 + Super | Hybrid (2 days per week)
My client, a large global organisation, is looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to take ownership of the procurement function across Australia and New Zealand.
The procurement function is currently going through a major global transformation, making this an exciting time to join. You will have the opportunity to work closely with an award-winning CPO and be part of a wider journey to transform procurement, elevate its profile and create a best-in-class function.
This is a stand-alone procurement leadership role for ANZ, offering significant autonomy, ownership and senior stakeholder exposure, while being supported by an established regional and global procurement organisation.
The Role
As Head of Procurement – ANZ, you will take end-to-end ownership of procurement across a broad portfolio of indirect categories, including:
Technology / ITProfessional ServicesMarketing & ProductionTravelCorporate ServicesOther indirect spend categories
You will partner with senior stakeholders to develop and execute procurement strategies, lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations, improve supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and wider commercial value.
A key part of the opportunity will be helping to drive the procurement transformation across ANZ, introducing best practice, strengthening governance and challenging existing ways of working.

My client is looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong track record across indirect procurement who is comfortable operating autonomously within a complex international organisation.
You will ideally bring:Significant end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing experienceBroad indirect category expertiseStrong commercial negotiation and contracting capabilityExperience influencing senior and C-suite stakeholdersThe ability to operate autonomously as the procurement lead for ANZProcurement transformation and change experienceA strategic mindset combined with a willingness to remain hands-onExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
