Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an energetic Business Support / Administrative Assistant to be an integral member of our growing team. Based in our Townsville office, this position will see you enjoy a varied and busy role and you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a welcoming and professional office environment and providing administration support more widely across our business groups within the Queensland Region. 

This role is crucial in fostering a positive experience for clients, employees and guests, while supporting the day-to-day operational needs of our team. 

Working closely with the Queensland Business Support team, this diverse position has great variety and will see you involved in:

• Office Support: Be the friendly face of the office, welcoming clients and visitors while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the workplace. Coordinate office activities and meetings, including room bookings, catering, presentations and general administrative support.
   
• Business Group Support: Provide administrative support to business groups including the preparation, formatting and proofreading of reports, proposals, correspondence and other business documentation in line with GHD's style guides. Assist with proposal preparation activities such as formatting documents, collating information and CVs, completing tender schedules and undertaking quality checks in line with GHD's style guides. Coordinate business group meetings and events, including room bookings, catering, agendas, presentations, minute-taking and other administrative activities as required.
   
• Regional Support Activities: Contribute to a variety of administrative and coordination activities across the region, providing flexible support to teams and projects as needs arise and helping deliver consistent, high-quality business support services.
   

What you will bring to the team: 

• An ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Experience in an Office Administration, Office Assistant or similar role.
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and positive work ethic.
