Casual Medical Receptionist Floater Position | South of the River (SOR) Medical Centres
Spectrum Health is seeking a friendly, organised, and adaptable Casual Float Medical Receptionist to join our team, providing administrative support across our medical centres located throughout Perth's South of the River.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working within supportive healthcare teams while delivering exceptional customer service to patients.
About the RoleAs a Casual Float Medical Receptionist, you will provide reception and administrative support across multiple clinics as required, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of each practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service
Managing appointments and patient bookings
Answering and directing phone enquiries
Processing patient payments and Medicare claims
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Liaising with GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals
Managing incoming correspondence, referrals, and administrative tasks
Supporting the daily operations of the practice while maintaining patient confidentiality
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, preferably within General Practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across multiple clinic locations
Experience using Best Practice software (desirable but not essential)
Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Flexible casual shifts to suit your availability
