Details: We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional with experience in spatial data management and GIS technologies, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering practical outcomes for the community.
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Biosecurity and Geospatial Analyst Officer to join the ACT Government's Biosecurity and Rural Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your GIS expertise to work that directly contributes to protecting the ACT's environment, agriculture and community from biosecurity threats.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the spatial data systems that underpin biosecurity surveillance, emergency response, rural land management and invasive species programs across the Territory.
Working closely with biosecurity officers, land managers and government stakeholders, you will design innovative mapping and reporting solutions, manage complex datasets and ensure critical information is available to support operational and strategic decision making.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, environmental management and emergency preparedness/response. You will support the delivery of modern, data driven biosecurity programs, contribute to emergency management activities and help build geospatial capability across government.
