Accounts Receivable Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced and adaptable Accounts Officer to join our growing team. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage high-volume invoicing, and has a strong understanding of general accounting processes.
Key responsibilitiesProcess a high volume of customer and supplier invoices accurately and efficientlyManage accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsComplete invoice reconciliation and resolve discrepanciesAssist with debtor follow-up and account enquiriesMaintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationSupport general accounting and month-end processesAssist with payroll processing when requiredWork closely with project managers and operational teams to ensure accurate job and cost allocationHelp implement and improve accounting systems and administrative processes
About youTo be successful in this position, you will ideally have:Previous accounts experience within the construction or civil infrastructure industryDemonstrated experience processing high-volume invoicingStrong proficiency in XeroA sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general accounting principlesExcellent accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlinesConfidence communicating with clients, suppliers and internal project teamsA technology-focused mindset and the ability to quickly learn new systemsA proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approachPrevious payroll experience will be highly regarded
