Join Bolton Clarke as a Technical Claims Manager - Self Insurance and play a key role in leading technical claims excellence within a mature and high-performing self-insurance environment. You'll provide expert guidance across complex workers' compensation matters, mentor a team of claims professionals, and help drive continuous improvement, governance and positive injury management outcomes.

At Bolton Clarke, we're looking for an experienced workers' compensation professional to join our team as a Technical Claims Manager - Self Insurance.

This is an opportunity to step into a key technical leadership role within a mature and high-performing self-insurance environment. Working closely with the License Manager, you'll provide specialist guidance across complex claims, mentor and support Claims Advisors, contribute to governance and audit activities, and help drive positive claim and injury management outcomes across the organisation.

We're keen to hear from professionals currently working within the Queensland self-insurance scheme, WorkCover Queensland, insurers or third-party administrators who are looking to take the next step in their career.

What you'll bring

• Strong experience managing workers' compensation claims within the Queensland scheme
• Experience working in a self-insurance environment highly regarded
• Technical expertise across complex physical and psychological injury claims
• Experience coaching, mentoring or leading claims professionals
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to quality claims management
• Experience with common law matters and adverse decision reviews will be highly regarded.
