Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Electrical Engineer to perform and coordinate electrical design activities for transportable switch rooms and related switchboards, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, liaising with clients, consultants and contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Duties

• Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications and documentation for switch room projects.

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards, client requirements and Mayfield Industries procedures.

• Review and check design and drafting work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients and consultants to resolve technical queries and manage design changes.

• Identify, assess and mitigate technical, cost and schedule risks throughout project delivery.

• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and procurement teams to support project execution.

• Developing scope of work documents for supplier.

• Preparing and submitting RFI/TQs.

• Preparing ITP, MDR and IOM.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in switchboards, switch rooms, substation/manufacture or project environment

• Experience in reading and understanding Schematics, single line diagrams and technical drawings.

• Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.

• Experience with CAD design software (e.g., AutoCAD, or similar).

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
