Release Manager - Telecom

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager with strong telecom domain expertise to oversee and coordinate software/application releases across complex telecommunications environments. The ideal candidate will manage release planning, deployment schedules, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and ensure seamless delivery of telecom products, platforms, and network-related applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, manage, and execute end-to-end release management processes.Coordinate release activities across development, testing, operations, infrastructure, and business teams.Create and maintain release calendars and deployment schedules.Ensure successful implementation of releases within agreed timelines and quality standards.Manage release readiness reviews, go-live approvals, and post-release validations.Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks and dependencies.Coordinate production deployments, rollback strategies, and incident management activities.Work closely with Telecom OSS/BSS, Network Operations, and Application Support teams.Ensure compliance with change management and ITIL processes.Prepare release documentation, deployment plans, release notes, and status reports.Monitor release KPIs and continuously improve release management practices.Support major transformation, migration, and telecom platform upgrade projects.Required SkillsTelecom DomainStrong understanding of Telecom OSS/BSS systems.Experience with Telecom Billing, CRM, Order Management, Provisioning, and Mediation systems.Knowledge of Mobile Networks (4G/5G), Fixed Line, Broadband, and Digital Services platforms.Familiarity with telecom service delivery and operational processes.Release ManagementExpertise in Release & Change Management processes.Experience managing large-scale enterprise or telecom application releases.Strong knowledge of deployment planning and release governance.Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.ITIL Foundation certification preferred.Tools & TechnologiesJira, ConfluenceServiceNowAzure DevOps / JenkinsGit/GitHub/BitbucketCI/CD PipelinesMonitoring and Incident Management toolsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field.8+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Release Management.Telecom industry experience is mandatory.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience managing multiple concurrent releases in complex environments.Preferred CertificationsITIL Foundation/IntermediatePMP or PRINCE2SAFe AgilistScrum Master CertificationDevOps CertificationKey CompetenciesRelease Planning & GovernanceStakeholder ManagementRisk & Dependency ManagementChange ManagementIncident & Problem ManagementLeadership & Team CoordinationCommunication & ReportingContinuous Process Improvement
