About the role
We are building a future where everyone is connected, safe and cared for. A future where we belong to strong communities who have the power to make our economy and politics work for everyone, instead of for profit.
By coming together across race and class, we challenge the ways capitalism and colonisation make us insecure by organising on our shared interests. We challenge how these systems disconnect us from ourselves, each other and the earth.
Led by young people, we are growing local networks with a commitment to care, hope and justice that can take action together in moments of crisis. We are showing that the people have power when we act together.
This role is responsible for leading the support work for the Stronger Communities Network.
The NST lead will be responsible for creating and managing central resources, training content and communications. This important work will enable the strong, locally led community organising undertaken by the Stronger Communities Network. Support will initially be prioritised for Tomorrow Movement local teams in Wollongong, Western Sydney and Naarm/Melbourne and will be expanded to other aligned groups as the Network grows.
This role is also responsible for leading on biannual whole-movement gatherings, bringing young leaders from across the Stronger Communities Network together for in-person training, skill sharing and relationship building.
The NST Lead will always have an eye to movement DNA and will support implementation of our organising culture, structure, strategy and story.
Attributes and experience that will help you perform this role
Please still apply if you don’t meet all of the above! We are a youth led movement of people under the age of 35. We value passion and insight over professional experience and are committed to always upskilling our volunteers and staff.
We are committed to removing barriers to your application, so let us know if there’s something we can do to make it more possible for you to apply by contacting Will at will@tomorrowmovement.com using the subject line: Network Support Team Lead - Melbourne / Work from Home enquiry via EthicalJobsor on 0474 633 822.
