About the Role

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the Forklift Operator plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Bassendean, WA branch. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently coordinating the movement, loading and unloading of stock and equipment within the yard. You’ll ensure all containers and products are handled with care, accurately tracked and positioned to support smooth branch operations and customer delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and equipment, following all PPE and safety procedures

• Load, unload, clean, and prepare equipment to meet branch and customer requirements

• Maintain accurate paperwork and promptly report any discrepancies or maintenance issues

• Provide friendly, professional customer service when liaising with clients or working on site

• Support team operations by assisting with general yard, delivery and site duties as required

What We’re Looking For

• A “safety first” mindset

• A positive attitude and a great personality

• Numeracy, literacy and intermediate computing skills

• Experience with hand tools

• A current LF class Forklift license

• Shipping container handling experience is desirable

• Extensive experience operating forklifts with loads up to 12 ton including top lift forklifts
