As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and mechanically minded Service Technician to join our South Australian team. Working across both our commercial laundry equipment and chemical dispensing businesses, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining and servicing industry-leading equipment while helping deliver the exceptional customer service Richard Jay is known for.

About The Role

Reporting to the National Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Installing and commissioning commercial and industrial laundry equipmentInstalling, servicing and maintaining commercial chemical dispensing systemsCarrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicingDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faultsCommissioning equipment and providing customer trainingResponding to service breakdowns across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South AustraliaCompleting service documentation electronicallyManaging company vehicle, tools and spare parts inventoryDelivering outstanding customer service and technical supportWorking safely and complying with all company and WHS procedures

This position involves travel throughout metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, with occasional interstate travel for training and project work.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding abilityExperience servicing, installing or maintaining commercial or industrial equipmentA trade background in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Appliance Repair or a related field (highly regarded)Electrical Licence (desirable) or Restricted Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect LicenceExperience with chemical dispensing systems (advantageous but not essential)Current Australian Drivers LicenceWhite Card and the ability to obtain a National Police CheckStrong communication and customer service skillsThe ability to work independently and manage your workloadBasic computer and tablet skillsA positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Experience within the commercial laundry industry is highly regarded, however full product training will be provided to the right candidate.
