Electrician/smoke alarm technician

About the role

First State Smoke Alarms is looking to add another electrician to the team in a full-time capacity. The role largely involves testing but is not limited to disconnecting/reconnecting smoke alarms in residential locations along with other property compliance work. Ceiling work or dirty work is not required and neither is shift work. Optional weekend work may be occasionally offered.

Key responsibilities

• Testing smoke alarms

• Disconnecting and reconnecting smoke alarms in residential locations

• Property compliance work

• Regular travel around the Illawarra/Shellharbour regions with occasional travel to Greater Sydney and South Coast

• RCD testing

About you

• Fully qualified electrician or late apprenticeship (3rd or 4th year apprentices welcome)

• Full drivers licence

• Punctual

• Positive attitude to employment

• Able to work autonomously

• Able to drive long distances when required

• Excellent communication skills

• Able to follow instructions

• Respectful at all times

• Well presented
