About The Role

We’re currently seeking a Session Leader to join our team at the Devonport Donor Centre. Reporting to the Donor Centre Manager, you’ll provide operational oversight to ensure that the end-to-end donation experience runs efficiently with no compromise on quality or safety.

As a Session Leader, You’ll Provide Direction, Inspiration And Support For Your Team To Achieve Common Goals And Foster Team Effectiveness, As Well As Managing Tough Issues With Respect. You’ll Value Self-awareness And Reflect On Your Own Strengths And Areas For Development, Making You An Even Stronger Leader. A Day In The Centre Could See You

Lead, engage, coach and develop your team to achieve their full potentialBuild and maintain a strong, collaborative and positive team cultureMotivate and support your team to deliver against operational and growth objectivesDeliver a safe, seamless and exceptional experience for our amazing donorsPhysically insert and remove needles to collect donations (training provided)Act as the first point of contact for complex donor assessmentsUse data, insights and team feedback to identify opportunities for improvementShow pride in upholding our high safety and quality standards

Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead, coach and develop a medium-sized teamA strong focus on teamwork, collaboration and building a positive team cultureExperience motivating teams, providing feedback and supporting people to reach their potentialStrong operational focus, with the ability to translate business goals into meaningful actions and outcomesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships with donors and colleaguesConfidence managing challenging situations and making decisions in a fast-paced environmentAbility to use data and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvementClinical experience is desirable but not essentialFlexibility to work Monday–Friday within the Centre’s operational hours: Monday–Wednesday: 12:00 pm–8:00 pm / Thursday–Friday: 7:30 am–3:30 pm
