Paste Backfill Engineer

About the role

Stope Fill Pty Ltd is looking for an underground mine backfill engineer, for a flexible and varied role of site operational work and office-based consulting work. The range of opportunities will allow the right candidate to guide the type of work undertaken, depending on your professional development area of interest, and level of knowledge & experience. The type of work within the pipeline will suit a range of experience levels from a principal/senior backfill engineer level to an underground mining engineer with 1-2 years of experience, and available on a casual contract basis. Together we can create a career development pathway towards project management, or highly technical principal engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Underground mining / backfill operations

• Auxiliary services for underground mining such as dewatering, ventilation, mine water/air supply

• QAQC sampling, testing and reporting

• Fill notes and technical services systems development and improvement

About you

• Underground mining / backfill operations experience

• Auxiliary services for underground mining such as dewatering, ventilation, mine water/air supply will also be highly regarded

• Engineering and / or project management qualifications

• QAQC sampling, testing and reporting experience

• Desilk mining software experience

• Manual drivers license (current Australian drivers license)

• Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills

• Reliable and professional

• Must have strong commitment to health and safety standards
