As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to play a critical role in supporting commercial decision-making, managing legal risk, and partnering with key stakeholders across a diverse range of property and corporate matters. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for major legal aspects of Global Realty business and corporate activities. This Includes contract reviews and the negotiation of contracts with all parties.
Provide legal advice on off-the-plan developments, project marketing agreements, and developer contracts.
Act as the legal representative between Global Realty, developers, purchasers, vendors, and external solicitors.
Provide legal support on rent roll acquisitions and disputes, property management compliance matters, and tenancy-related disputes.
Review, draft, negotiate and advise on Contracts for Sale, Disclosure Statements, Deeds, Agency Agreements, Lease Agreements, and related property documentation.
Support branch managers and department leaders with contract interpretation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
Manage legal matters relating to unpaid commissions, commission disputes, and developer-related claims.
Advise management on contractual rights, enforcement actions, and recovery strategies.
Provide legal advice on corporate governance, company structuring, ASIC compliance, and regulatory obligations.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the real estate industry.
Conduct legal risk assessments and recommend practical business solutions.
Manage contract disputes, claims, debt recovery matters, and litigation involving the business.
Assist with client onboarding and management of key developer and investor relationships.
Responsible for managing any contract dispute resolution, claims against the business, and litigation, with access to external legal resources as required.
Essentials
Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is highly desirable.
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role as an in-house Legal/General Counsel for a real estate agency or within property industry
Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in New South Wales with a current NSW Practicing Certificate.
Tertiary qualification in Law or a related discipline.
Highly developed strategic and analytical skills, creative thinking and problem solving to support the delivery of complex projects.
Demonstrated experience with off-the-plan sales and development projects.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
Strong understanding of NSW property legislation and real estate regulations.
