Dental Assistant

Are you a caring and organised Dental Assistant with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent qualification) AND at least 2 years’ chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting, looking to make a meaningful impact in a unique primary healthcare environment?

This is a great opportunity to support dental clinicians and deliver high-quality care to Defence members in a professional, team-focused environment. This permanent part-time position requires you to work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

About The Health Centre

Amberley Health Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.

What You’ll Do

Working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 0700 to 16:00 on a permanent part time contractSupporting dental procedures through chair-side assisting Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and treatment areas Promoting oral health and supporting patient care Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards Managing patient records and supporting administrative tasks

What You Bring

Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification 2 years chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification Strong understanding of infection control and clinical standards Great communication skills with a caring, team-focused approach
