This position is suitable for recent graduates as well as engineers with up to five years of relevant industry experience. Responsibilities and remuneration will be aligned with the successful applicant's skills, experience and demonstrated capability

Purpose of Position: Provide Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) engineering services to assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and support of OT platforms and infrastructure. Working under the guidance of senior engineers while exercising increasing levels of responsibility based on experience, this role contributes to the reliable, secure and efficient operation of industrial control systems for Provecta's

Essential Requirements

• Degree qualifications in Computer, IT, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent)

• Strong interest in industrial automation, Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems.

• Understanding of or experience with virtualised computing environments (e.g. VMware or Hyper-V).

• Understanding of or experience with Ethernet networking, including network architecture, firewalls and VLANs

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for secure industrial environments.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply technical information in the design, implementation and support of systems.

• Current unrestricted Australian Driver License.

Desirable Requirements

• · Experience supporting, commissioning or maintaining industrial control systems.

• · Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments, industrial networks or critical infrastructure systems.

• · Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory or virtualisation platforms.

• · Exposure to industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, OPC-UA or similar.

• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or similar.

• Practical experience (through employment, internships, university or personal projects) in process control, instrumentation or industrial automation

Selection Criteria

• Relevant technical experience gained through employment, internships, university projects, personal projects or engineering consulting activities.

• Demonstrated technical capability through academic achievement, professional experience, project work or other relevant accomplishments.

• Ability to plan and manage work activities to meet deadlines.

• Proven ability to work with attention to detail and to accurately document work activities undertaken

• Effective oral and written communication skills in English

• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technologies.
