We are currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking chef for our busy restaurant, who can work various shifts some days splits shift as the nature of the business requires it. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.

Task & responsibilities

• Planning and preparing extensive menus along with consolidation from the Head Chef.
• Prioritize dietary requirements in menu planning.
• Estimate food requirements, proportioning of food and proper presentation as per the guidelines
• Monitor the quality and quantity of the prepared food.
• Gathering and monitoring kitchen stocks and quality maintenance of perishable items.
• Converse with managers, supervisors, dietary specialists, and other kitchen staffs about the operational and food preparation problems.
• Delegate tasks to other staff in the kitchen.
• Manage the inventory of stock and place order when necessary to maintain the supply of stock.
• Ensure obedience to the applicable health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

Qualification & experience

Certificate 3 and or 4 in Cookery/Chef with at least 2 years of work experience.
