Warehouse general hand

About the role

Warehouse all rounder position at Drums R Us Guildford store. The role involves working in a busy warehouse environment, handling recycled packaging materials including IBCs, plastic drums and metal drums. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Sat 9am to 2pm.

Key responsibilities

• Washing IBC using an automated high-pressure washer

• Loading and unloading stock off trucks, including manual loading onto pallets

• Prepare and pick orders for delivery

• Drive the company truck to delivery and pickup stock when required

• Customer sales and enquiries, both in store and over the phone

• Using power tools to modify stock into garden pots, tap drums and chicken feeders

• Operational maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse

About you

• Forklift licence along with experience using a forklift

• Car licence with good driving record

• Able to work independently including open/closing the warehouse, if required

• Comfortable manual handling empty metal and plastic drums 3kg – 22kg

• Ability to safely use power tools, such as a pressure washer, drill and jigsaw

• Ability to learn quickly with a wide range of products from different suppliers

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, multiple tasks with tight deadlines and ability to focus

• Well developed customer-service skills

• No criminal record in the last 10 years
