Hurricane Air is growing, and we're looking for someone who wants more than a desk job — someone who understands mechanical services, thinks commercially, and is ready to run estimating and sales from first enquiry to final handover.

You'll estimate and pre-construct projects from $200 to $500,000+ — service works, upgrades, and full commercial installations. You'll own the process end-to-end and play an active role in client relationships, sales, and business development alongside leadership.

Every quote starts with you on-site. No assumptions — just real conditions, priced right.

•     Build accurate, commercially sharp estimates using Simpro, Plandroid & Blue Beam

•     Read scopes and tender docs closely — know what's required versus what's just requested, and price accordingly

•     Run pre-quote site inspections: measurements, material lists, no guesswork

•     Price full HVAC systems — ductwork, refrigeration pipework, electrical allowances, plant, controls

•     Bring technical and design input to every estimate

•     Build real relationships with clients, builders, and consultants

•     Drive follow-ups, value conversations, and scope clarification

•     Spot upsell and long-term opportunities with existing clients

•     Hand clean, well-scoped jobs to Operations

•     Get sharp on Australian Standards and industry best practice

•     HVAC, mechanical services, or refrigeration background — ideal

•     Or a mechanical engineer with strong hands-on experience

•     Electrical background only with deep mechanical services depth

•     Commercially sharp, technically grounded, comfortable owning outcomes

•     Hungry to grow into senior estimating, sales, or BD leadership

GP% - Hold target margin on won jobs

Conversion Rate - Quotes submitted vs. won

Follow-Ups - Timely, proactive, no quotes going cold

Rework Rate - Low re-quotes or scope disputes

Turnaround Time - Quotes delivered on deadline
